Our massage services:
Swedish Massage Therapy
Swedish massage is the most common and well-known form of massage for tension and sore muscles. Swedish massage addresses the soft tissue of the body to promote good circulation and relax your muscles by using long gliding strokes, kneading, and tappotment, or a type of tapping on the body. With Swedish massage the client can regulate if they prefer firmer or lighter pressure depending on individual needs.
Neuromuscular or Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger Point Therapy is very beneficial for treating medical issues, such as chronic pain, or to help with the healing process of acute injuries. Trigger points are adhesions or knots that can form when someone has repetitive motion or an injury. Trigger point therapy works the whole muscle and/or focuses on a specific point of focus. For example, the therapist may press on a particular area and you may experience pain in that area or somewhere else in the body, known as referral pain. Once this happens, the therapist knows that this is the area of need and continues to work out the bodily issues where they are needed most.
Lymphatic Massage
Lymphatic massage is very effective in enhancing the immune system. The therapist uses a very light touch which helps stimulate the lymphatic system. This helps the body to eliminate cellular waste and toxins, purifying and rejuvenating the body. This type of massage is perfect for someone who has a lot of swelling or edema, and is also beneficial for detoxing and clearing up skin problems.
Prenatal or Pregnancy Massage
Prenatal massage is a blissful way for a woman to nurture herself during hormonal shifts and physical changes during and after her 2nd trimester. In prenatal massage the mother-to-be lies on her side and is fully draped. The therapist uncovers only the areas that are causing distress, discomfort and need attention, relieving any pressure the woman may be experiencing. This type of massage is a great way to help support a woman physically and emotionally for her labor and after postpartum. Postnatal massages are also available.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage works specifically with the muscles and connective tissue to help increase circulation and oxygen flow. It helps give the client more function with their muscles. Deep tissue massage uses some of the same techniques as Swedish massage and is similar to neuromuscular therapy.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is especially great in the winter months. It is done with hot stones and warm oils. This massage is very calming and relaxing to the body. If you want hot stone massage, make sure to clear your schedule because you will want to go straight home and relax or take a nap.
Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy massage is designed around your individual physical or emotional needs. After speaking with you about your current needs, the therapist combines essential oils taken from plants, flowers, roots, seeds, etc., and gently massages these healing oils into your skin using whatever form of massage you chose.
Rain Drop Therapy works with specific young living essential oils to detoxify the body. The specific oils are layered on the spine and are gently massaged into the back and spine area and along certain energy lines on the legs and body. This is a very light massage and is very relaxing and smells wonderfully!
