Zero Balancing - The Leading Edge in Body/Mind Therapy
Zero Balancing (or ZB for short) is the skill and art of balancing your energy with the physical structure of your body through touch. It is simple, yet powerful and focuses on the whole person, even when addressing specific concerns. It is considered the leading edge of body/mind therapies. Moving beyond western scientific approaches to body structure it incorporates eastern concepts of energy and healing. This allows the practitioner to work on both the physical body and energy body at the same time.
Essentially, the structural body and energy body work in concert with one another and with the world around us, yet they function independently of each other. The structural body is what you see and touch; bone, soft tissue and the body's organs. The energy body is the seen and unseen movement, which includes muscular movements, movement of tissue fluids, cellular and molecular vibrations, movement within the body fields and movement of you life force.
Zero Balancing integrates these two bodies so that they are functioning at their optimal levels to reduce and often alleviate both physical and emotional pain and trauma that a person may be experiencing. You can receive Zero Balancing along with your regular medical care.
When structure and energy are balanced dysfunctional habits, such as outmoded emotional patterns and imprints from past trauma tend to release. In addition, you're able to function with relative ease and efficiency in your day-to-day life and better health is experienced. Many who receive Zero Balancing say they have a sense of fluidity, integration, are focused, have more clarity, ease of movement, balance is improved and physical pain is reduced or gone. They also comment that they have an overall sense of well being and are amazed at how much energy they have.
A session lasts approximately 45 minutes and is performed with you fully clothed. You begin in a sitting position and then are lying on your back on a massage table. Using touch, the practitioner evaluates your energy and structure and then balances the structure and energy as needed. Your practitioner may focus on the body, mind or spirit or all three, depending on what the practitioner finds.
Generally, three sessions are recommended in order to build and reinforce the changes you are seeking. Usually the three sessions are received within a three to five week time frame. For most people, they benefit from receiving a session every four to six weeks in order to maintain their well-being. It's really up to you and your practitioner on what works best for you.
